slowbloom is a Progressive Web App, which means you can install it straight from your browser without an app store. Once installed it opens in its own window like a native app, and you can read your journal even when you are offline.
On iPhone or iPad
Open slowbloom in Safari, tap the Share button, then choose Add to Home Screen. A slowbloom icon will appear on your home screen, ready to tap.
On Android
Open slowbloom in Chrome. You may see an Install app prompt appear automatically. If not, open the browser menu and choose Install. The app will be added to your home screen and app drawer.
On desktop
In Chrome or Edge, look for a small install icon in the address bar and click it. slowbloom will open in its own window and can be pinned to your taskbar or dock.
Unlock with Face ID or a fingerprint
Once installed, you can turn on biometric unlock in Settings. Closing the installed app then locks it but keeps you signed in, so reopening just asks for your fingerprint or face rather than your whole password. Your password is still required on any new device.
Offline support covers reading entries you have already opened. To write or sync new petals, and to unlock with your password, you will need to be online.
